Don Germer

Don Germer is a PGA of America Life Member who was a head golf professional at Miracle Hill, Ironwood (Highland) and Players Club in Omaha from 1987 until his retirement in 2021.

Don entered the U.S. Marine Corps after graduating from Omaha Benson High School in 1972. He was the All-Spain Military champion. After his honorable discharge, he returned to Nebraska and was the state match play runner-up in 1978 and the medalist in the 1979 World-Herald Publinks match play before turning pro.

Germer worked at Indian Wells in Palm Desert, California, Benson Park and Miracle Hill before promoted to head professional at Miracle Hill in 1987 while working toward his Class A PGA membership.

As a player, he won the Nebraska PGA match play title in 1990 and its senior stroke-play championship in 2007. As a club pro, he was president of the Nebraska PGA from 1995 to 1997, its two-time Golf Professional of the Year and a five-time recipient of the Nebraska PGA’s private-club merchandiser of the year award.
